Requirements
  • A high school diploma is required.
  • Demonstrated prior medication management experience is required.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills are required, along with experience interfacing with medical personnel and adhering to protocols.
  • A clean New York State driving record is required under DePaul’s personnel policy.
  • Applicants must be at least eighteen years of age.
Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership for medication-related systems in accordance with DePaul policy, training, and standards.
  • Process incoming client medications by checking label accuracy, completing documentation, and storing medications according to DePaul standards and New York State Office of Mental Health regulations.
  • Process incoming prescriptions, medication or treatment orders, and update client charts and the Medication Administration Record when medications or orders change.
  • Inventory medications and required supplies weekly to identify items that need to be ordered.
  • Ensure prescriptions are refilled as needed and request standing-order prescriptions when necessary.
  • Track and oversee medication ordering and supplies to ensure medications remain on site without interruptions to residents’ medication regimens.
  • Liaise with residents, doctors, pharmacies, providers, and residential staff to ensure timely and accurate medication ordering and appointment scheduling.
  • Oversee residents’ medications in accordance with physicians’ orders, DePaul policy, and New York State Office of Mental Health regulations.
  • Monitor medication-related documentation weekly for accuracy and completeness and address areas of need with the Site Supervisor.
  • Report significant medication issues, including missed doses, medication refusals, and adverse reactions, to the Residential Supervisor.
  • Oversee monitoring and documentation for residents participating in the self-medication process.
  • Maintain resident confidentiality and interact respectfully with residents, family members, staff, guests, and service providers.
  • Perform other duties necessary for effective operation of the program and medication room.
  • Work Sunday through Thursday on varied shifts.
Desired Qualifications
  • An advanced educational degree is preferred.
  • One year of experience working with people with mental illness is preferred.

Pan-American Square Apartments Wins Community Impact Award

Pan-American Square Apartments wins Community Impact Award. SWBR Company is pleased to announce that DePaul Pan-American Square Apartments has been recognized with the 2025 Community Impact Award by the Buffalo/WNY Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. This award honors projects that make a meaningful difference in their communities through thoughtful, inclusive design. Completed earlier this year, Pan-American Square Apartments transformed a former rail corridor into a 150-unit affordable and supportive housing community in Buffalo, NY. Designed to Passive House standards, the development provides energy-efficient homes and essential services for seniors and individuals experiencing homelessness or mental illness. More than housing, it is a catalyst for community revitalization, delivering stability, sustainability, and hope for Buffalo's most vulnerable residents. Jury Comment: The integration of community-based programs and sustainable design at the Pan-American Square Apartments struck the jury. Exemplifying the criteria of the Community Award, the Pan-American Square Apartments took a holistic approach to senior living and supportive housing that will have a lasting positive impact on the WNY community. It is clear that this project will uplift and provide stability for the most vulnerable members of its community and the design team took every opportunity to maximize resources available to its residents. SWBR provided architectural, interior design, structural engineering, landscape architecture, and graphic design services for the project. The awards celebration was held Thursday, November 6 in Buffalo, NY.
