About the job

Requirements
  • Seven to ten or more years of experience in Customer Success, Technical Account Management, Solutions Architecture, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
  • Experience managing SLA-driven, contract-backed relationships with AI companies, hyperscalers, cloud providers, or large enterprises.
  • Strong understanding of AI infrastructure, including GPU clusters, compute, networking, storage, and training and inference workloads.
  • Technical depth to investigate service issues, diagnose likely causes of downtime, and work effectively with engineering teams.
  • Experience interpreting MSAs and SLAs and supporting technical or commercial contract negotiations.
  • A proactive, organized, and data-informed approach to account health, operational risk, and SLA management.
  • Comfort building processes and working through ambiguity in an early-stage startup.
Responsibilities
  • Own the customer relationship from pre-contract engagement and solution alignment through onboarding, production operations, renewal, and expansion.
  • Partner with customers and internal teams during pre-sales to understand customer requirements, shape solutions, validate technical feasibility, and support contract negotiations.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of each customer’s MSA, SLAs, technical requirements, and commercial commitments.
  • Guide customers through onboarding and handover, including acceptance milestones and production readiness.
  • Lead SLA and business reviews, monitor account health, and proactively surface risks, opportunities, and required actions.
  • Serve as the first line of defense when uptime or SLA performance is at risk, coordinating across engineering, networking, data-center operations, support, and external partners.
  • Understand the drivers of service issues, including GPU, compute, network, storage, hardware, and facility failures, and communicate clearly through resolution and root-cause analysis.
  • Advocate for customer needs internally, translating feedback into product and engineering priorities.
  • Build repeatable onboarding, escalation, SLA-management, and customer-success playbooks as Volta grows.

About the company

Volta builds and operates dedicated AI data centers called AI factories in Europe and North America, financing the compute so labs and enterprises can access Nvidia-class capacity without upfront costs. It works by bundling capital, powered land, data centers, hardware, software, and ongoing operations into a single service; customers pay for access through multi-year capacity contracts, effectively turning compute into a financed utility. Unlike traditional data centers, Volta combines financing with construction, management, and software to deliver ready-to-use, scalable AI capacity as a service backed by major investors and partners. The goal is to democratize access to large-scale AI compute and speed AI development by providing financed infrastructure across key markets.
