C# Developer - Multiple Teams
About the job
- Excellent service-level development skills and understanding of Windows Communication Foundation and service-oriented architecture.
- At least 5 years of development experience using .NET, Visual Basic .NET, and C# with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or higher.
- Excellent knowledge of the .NET Framework 3.5 or 4.0 and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Advanced technical troubleshooting, data analysis, and issue-resolution skills.
- Experience using Team Foundation Server or a comparable configuration-management tool.
- Working knowledge of the systems development life cycle and structured methodologies and techniques.
- Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience with SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Reporting Services, Transact-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, Data Transformation Services, and data-access optimization techniques.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or another related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Availability to provide on-call support and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Adhere to systems development life cycle standards, including preparing project-related documents as requested by the Project Manager.
- Design and develop applications as part of a team.
- Analyze and design system solutions.
- Perform troubleshooting and resolve problems.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Participate in maintenance activities and provide on-call support.
- Prepare unit and integration test plans for program changes and perform testing in cooperation with clients and other information-technology personnel.
- Document programming work according to team standards using SharePoint or wikis.
- Experience with Entity Framework 4 or higher, Windows Identity Foundation, and an enterprise service bus.
- Experience in the insurance industry, particularly life, health, or annuity insurance.
- Experience with SQL Server 2008, Team Foundation Server, enterprise service bus technologies, rules engines, Windows Identity Foundation, Entity Framework 5, and .NET 4.5.
- Experience with Agile and waterfall methodologies.
