Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • An associate degree or formal neurodiagnostic training is preferred.
  • Certification as an EEG or Neurodiagnostic Technician, such as R.EEG T., CNIM, or equivalent, is preferred.
  • Prior experience in neurodiagnostic testing is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in skilled nursing or long-term care settings is a plus.
  • The ability to follow clinical protocols and maintain strong attention to detail is required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Comfort working with the geriatric population is required.
  • The role requires prolonged standing and walking, assisting with patient positioning, operating diagnostic equipment, and lifting or moving patients.
  • The ability to travel to multiple facilities as needed is required.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for neurological diagnostic procedures, including electroencephalograms and other neurodiagnostic tests.
  • Perform neurodiagnostic testing in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and report significant findings or concerns to the supervising clinician.
  • Set up, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot neurodiagnostic equipment.
  • Accurately document test results, observations, and patient responses in the medical record.
  • Maintain compliance with infection control, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act requirements, and facility policies.
  • Provide clear explanations and reassurance to patients to ensure comfort and cooperation.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and nursing staff to support high-quality patient care.
  • Travel to assigned partner skilled nursing and long-term care facilities.
