- Answer patient phone calls.
- Measure patient height, weight, and vital signs.
- Schedule patients and enter medical data using AdvancedMD electronic medical records.
- Room patients in exam rooms and obtain chief complaint information.
- Chart findings in a timely manner.
- Obtain in-house laboratory tests, including lead, hemoglobin, rapid strep, and flu tests, as ordered by the provider.
- Notify the provider when vaccine and supply stock is getting low so supplies can be reordered before they run out.
- Complete follow-up patient calls when not providing patient care.
- Stock exam rooms with needed supplies.
- Keep the office and workspace neat and tidy.
- Give injections.
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations.
- Clean treatment rooms following patient examinations.
- Interview patients to obtain their medical history.
- Record patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results in patient medical files.
- Perform routine screening tests, such as height and weight measurements and blood pressure checks.
- Draw blood, remove sutures, and change dressings.
- Purchase and maintain supplies and equipment.
- Clean and sterilize medical equipment and instruments.
- Properly dispose of contaminated supplies.
- Assist physicians during examinations by handing over instruments and materials.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
- AdvancedMD experience.
- Certification as a medical assistant (CMA).
