About the job
- A Level 3 NVQ in Pharmacy Services (Accuracy Checking Technician) or an equivalent Accuracy Checking Technician qualification is required.
- Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council is required.
- Solid, proven experience in a pharmacy setting with a strong track record in accuracy checking is required.
- Deep working knowledge of pharmacy regulations, policies, and standard operating procedures is required.
- Strong attention to detail is required.
- Carry out accuracy checks on dispensed medicines, ensuring full compliance with legal, operational, and safety standards.
- Take ownership of the end-to-end dispensing process.
- Maintain clear and accurate prescription records and escalate discrepancies.
- Mentor junior colleagues and help build a team culture rooted in accountability, safety, and quality.
- Maintain professional development, best-practice knowledge, and awareness of regulatory changes.
- Work alongside the wider pharmacy team to ensure patients receive the medicines they need.
