About The Role

Do you have a passion for precision, patient care, and clinical research? Join a high-impact team at the forefront of medical discovery! As a Screening Technician, you’ll play a vital role in evaluating potential clinical trial participants, ensuring only the most eligible candidates contribute to cutting-edge studies that drive medical progress. As a key member of the Screening Team, you’ll ensure each participant is a perfect fit for our studies by performing detailed eligibility assessments, maintaining high standards for data integrity, and supporting a seamless, respectful participant experience. Must have a valid Medical Assistant certificate.

What You'll Do Here

• Ensure the confidentiality of clinical trial participants and sponsors is respected.

• Preparation of screening materials

• Participant identity verification

• Informed consent form (ICF) including verification of the participant's overall understanding of the study and the ICF's contents.

• Intake and documentation of inclusionary/exclusionary criteria

• Administration of medical questionnaires

• Obtain and record demographic information including but not limited to: height, weight, BMI calculation, ethnicity

• Collection of safety measurements such as vital signs and ECG measurements

• Collection and handling of urine and blood for in-house testing and/or clinical diagnostic testing

• Perform in-house tests such as: drugs of abuse, pregnancy, urine alcohol or breathalyzer

• Prepare diagnostic sample for shipping to clinical diagnostic laboratory when required

• Use of clinical diagnostic software

• May assist in screening admissions procedures.

• Assessment of participant eligibility based on criteria collected in regards to study protocol, SOP and GCP.

• Act as a resource to newly hired staff

• May train employees on screening activities and tasks associated to their jobs needs.

• Maintain and advocate a high level of customer service and quality within the department.

• Proactively communicate issues and/or problem resolutions to departmental supervisors and managers.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• High School Diploma or GED and related work experience required; college degree preferred.

• Must hold a valid MA Certificate.

• Good Communication skills.

• Customer service focused, able to work in fast-paced environment.
