Requirements
  • A high school diploma.
  • Completion of an accredited ultrasound program.
  • RDMS, RVT, or ARRT Sonography certification.
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above the shoulders during the work shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to carry up to 40 pounds a reasonable distance.
  • Ability to push and pull with 30 pounds of force.
  • No sponsorship is available.
Responsibilities
  • Perform abdominal, pelvic, vascular, thyroid, breast, scrotal, and other ultrasound studies.
  • Conduct advanced vascular examinations.
  • Assist radiologists with biopsies and fluid aspirations.
  • Perform bedside and operating room ultrasounds.
  • Monitor patients and recognize significant findings requiring radiologist review.
  • Maintain equipment, supplies, and exam rooms.
  • Complete administrative functions including scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, and Radiology Information System documentation.
  • Participate in training, committees, and quality assurance initiatives.
Desired Qualifications
  • At least one year of proven clinical experience in sonography in a Level 1 hospital setting.
