Community Participation Supports Director

We are currently looking for a Community Participation Supports (CPS) Director to fill a full-time position in the Harmar area. The CPS Director position is a full-time position under the direct supervision of the Program Administrator. The CPS Director is responsible for the implementation and oversight of the PMH CPS program for the assigned region, including the supervision of Community Support Professionals (CSP) and individual participants within the program. CPS services aim to provide individuals with supports to engage in lifelong learning and find ways to move from being in the community to becoming a valued part of the community. The CPS Director will carry out all CPS services and duties in accordance with the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) service description and PMH policies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION SUPPORTS DIRECTOR:

• Oversee CPS and Supportive Employment (SE) services provided to program participants, including general management, daily operations, and adherence to policies and procedures
• Participate in client team meetings, including annual Individual Plan (IP) meetings, quarterly reviews, and additional consultation, as needed
• Ensure IP accuracy, including IP revisions, and monitor the implementation of goal and objective planning relevant to service provisions
• Coordinate each participant’s daily/weekly schedule in collaboration with residential managers and staff
• Adjust weekly schedule(s), as needed, to reflect participant cancellations, staff changes, or other day-to-day modifications, and communicate changes to relevant parties
• Ensure that staff are trained on the individual’s most updated IP, Medication Administration Record (MAR), diet, adaptive needs, and all other relevant individual needs or treatment plans
• Ensure timely Service Note completion for each individual following service provisions
• Complete timely Quarterly Progress Notes (QPN) and Quarterly Conversations to reflect a summary of client objectives, progress, preferences, and data
• Complete Comprehensive Assessments for each individual participant and update annually
• Maintain regional CPS petty cash funds and send weekly ledger reports
• Oversee vehicle and maintenance-related matters for all operating vehicles and equipment
• Interview and hire staff, following appropriate approval protocols
• Conduct on-the-job training, shadowing, and supervision for all new staff members
• Monitor and approve staff time sheets, paid time off, and sick days
• Collaborate and build relationships with community stakeholders/gatekeepers to increase program opportunities, engagements, and/or volunteer efforts
• Assure the safety and protection of individual participants
• Evaluate service delivery in accordance with IPs, treatment plans, and regulations
• Oversee PMH Competitive Integrated Employment (CIE) tracking and Wellness tracking initiatives, including collecting data and communicating updates to the individual’s team
• Serve as a communication resource to individuals, staff, families, and guardians
• Obtain a thorough understanding of relevant regulations and their application to the organization
• Collaborate with management personnel to enhance individual and team progress and to achieve identified goals and objectives
• Act as agency representative, as assigned
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Administrator

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE OF THE OMMUNITY PARTICIPATION SUPPORTS DIRECTOR:

• Minimum of 21 years of age
• Minimum of two years supervisory experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Eligible to perform Program Specialist duties through appropriate qualifications (55 Pa. Code Chapter 6400.44)
• Ability to organize tasks and function independently
• Master’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university and one (1) year experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities

OR

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years’ experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities

OR

• Associate’s degree, or 60 credit hours, from an accredited college or university and four (4) years’ experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities
