Requirements
  • Experience managing day-to-day project management and quality in packing, shipping, distribution, receiving, and information organization.
  • Experience providing direction, leadership, management, and oversight for vendor relations, process improvement, and competitive pricing arrangements for product inventory.
  • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent inventory and project management skills.
  • Proven experience managing marketing, logistics, and fulfillment operations.
  • Knowledge of logistics and fulfillment operations, including packing, shipping, distribution, and receiving processes.
  • Familiarity with computerized inventory forecasting and fulfillment programs.
  • Ability to analyze demographics and trends in client operations to meet fluctuating demand and avoid excess inventory.
  • Ability to negotiate with vendors and supervise and motivate fulfillment staff.
  • Ability to forecast expenses and manage budgets.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Five or more years of experience.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills for presentations.
  • Ability to document work using clear, concise, and grammatically correct language.
  • Ability to manage projects with large work teams.
  • Ability to broker differences and manage conflict.
  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements.
  • Familiarity with print processes for developing collateral materials.
  • Familiarity with web development and design, reporting, content management, and writing.
  • Ability to communicate with people and vendors and work as part of a team.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues related to meeting deadlines.
Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day project management and ensure quality in packing, shipping, distribution, and receiving processes and organization of key information structures.
  • Provide oversight for the Logistics Support Services contract team and serve as the link between the government and the contract.
  • Assist clients with shipping, receiving, and delivery of supplies, materials, and equipment, and maintain inventory control and records.
  • Support product and program development based on client requirements.
  • Improve the warehouse inventory system and website.
  • Work on-site in support of client events.
  • Manage planning and fulfillment of marketing items for large-scale training and conference events.
  • Manage the warehouse team and ensure accuracy in shipment and billing.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for the complete order process and behind-the-scenes event management planning.
  • Work with graphic designers on direct mail, print, and digital marketing materials and related relationships.
  • Lead safety and security, including facilities and security clearance activities.
  • Document programs accurately and provide team management, coordination, and timely execution.
  • Measure and report on program effectiveness.
  • Provide oversight for public and stakeholder-facing websites, including content management, design input, troubleshooting, testing, reporting, and analysis.
  • Develop and distribute site reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate logistics operations, including timelines, production, budgets, and status reports.
  • Support marketing, logistics, and fulfillment operations.
  • Plan inventory and ensure orders are processed efficiently.
  • Interact with vendors to maintain current inventory of goods.
  • Monitor warehouse processes and recommend improvements to increase productivity.
  • Contract with sufficient vendors to meet customer demand without interruption.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for review and approval by upper management.
  • Support warehouse operations by preparing and packaging orders for timely shipment.
  • Observe processing and packing procedures, including walking or standing as required.
  • Work occasional overtime to resolve inventory or shipping issues when required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Military background or experience working in a federal government environment or with the United States military.
  • A bachelor's degree with a concentration in business administration, marketing, operations, or another field related to inventory and management.
  • Knowledge gained from previous inventory or fulfillment management jobs.
  • Potential promotion into a more general management position.
