Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage technical and non-technical assurance and consulting engagements from planning through reporting.
  • Liaise with the Quality Reviewer to ensure that deliverables are quality reviewed before submission to process owners.
  • Perform internal audit and advisory engagements covering Renewable Energy Portfolio Management at Head Office and Masdar Platforms.
  • Use advanced data analytics techniques to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in financial and operational data.
  • Support development and delivery of annual operational business plans and key performance indicators for the unit, including performance monitoring and reporting.
  • Prepare or review risk and control matrices before and during audit fieldwork and submit them for approval.
  • Manage and execute audit engagements according to the engagement plan, develop working papers, document audit findings, and submit materials for quality review.
  • Review field auditors’ work, issues, subordinate work papers, and draft audit reports for completeness, objective alignment, and coverage of related activities.
  • Submit draft audit reports to senior management for review according to the project time plan.
  • Manage auditee relationships and support achievement of audit satisfaction targets.
  • Develop and implement action plans addressing improvement areas identified through audit satisfaction surveys.

Masdar, Taaleri Energia open 154MW Čibuk 2 wind farm in Serbia. The Čibuk 1 and 2 wind farms aim to boost renewables, supplying clean power to nearly 178,800 households annually. Masdar and Taaleri Energia have inaugurated the Čibuk 2 wind farm with 154MW of capacity in Serbia's South Banat region, approximately 40km from Belgrade. The project brings the combined installed capacity of the adjacent Čibuk 1 and 2 wind farms to 312MW. These two projects together represent more than $576m (€500m) in foreign direct investment in Serbia's energy sector. The combined generation is expected to provide clean electricity for approximately 178,800 households. The inauguration event took place in Belgrade and was attended by senior government officials including the Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy, Dubravka Đedović Handanović, the United Arab Emirates Ambassador to Serbia and the Deputy Ambassador of Finland. Handanović said: "The completion of Wind Park Čibuk 2 makes a significant contribution to Serbia's efforts to decarbonise its energy system while increasing its energy independence. "The two wind power plants developed by Masdar in Serbia, with a total installed capacity of 312MW, currently account for around 25% of Serbia's combined wind and solar power capacity." Čibuk 2, which is equipped with 22 Nordex turbines, is projected to deliver up to 336,000MW-hours of electricity each year, meeting the annual needs of around 80,000 homes. Its operation is forecast to avoid approximately 311,200t of carbon dioxide emissions per year. More than 1,000 people, mainly from the South Banat area, were involved in construction, subcontracting and project management roles at Čibuk 2. Ownership of the wind farm is split equally between Masdar and Taaleri Energia, with development carried out in partnership with New Energy Solutions. Masdar's regional development pipeline includes more than 200MW of additional projects across solar, wind and battery storage technologies. Serbia aims to install around 3.5GW of new wind and solar capacity by 2030, with a government target of generating 45% of its electricity from renewables within the same time frame. Dubravka Đedović Handanović, Serbia's minister of mining and energy, and Ahmed Al Menhali, the UAE ambassador to Serbia, during the inauguration ceremony of the Čibuk 2 plant (WAM) Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar), in cooperation with Finnish company Taaleri Energia, inaugurated the Čibuk 2 wind farm in Serbia with a capacity of 154 MW, raising the total capacity of the Čibuk complex to 312 MW, making it the largest wind farm complex in Serbia and the Western Balkans region, according to the two companies. The project gives Serbia, an EU membership candidate, a cheaper and more stable local source of electricity at a time when it seeks to reduce its dependence on coal and limit its exposure to fluctuations in imported fuel prices. As for Masdar, the project is not an isolated event but part of a broader pattern: the company is building up its presence in Eastern and Central Europe as a prelude to entering larger and more competitive markets such as Germany, as part of its effort to raise its global portfolio from 65 GW currently to 100 GW by 2030. 312 MW enhances Serbian energy security Čibuk 2 alone is expected to produce up to 336,000 MWh of electricity annually, enough to cover the needs of about 80,000 homes and avoid the emission of about 311,200 tons of carbon dioxide annually, according to estimates by the two companies. The plant includes 22 wind turbines manufactured by the German company Nordex, while the project's implementation during the construction phase provided more than 1,000 job opportunities, most of them for residents of the South Banat region. Dubravka Đedović Handanović, Serbia's minister of mining and energy, said: "The completion of the Čibuk 2 plant represents an important step in Serbia's efforts to reduce emissions in the energy sector and enhance energy security." She added that the total capacity of Masdar's two projects in the country is equivalent to about 25% of Serbia's total current wind and solar power capacities. Serbia aims to increase its solar and wind power capacities by about 3.5 GW by 2030, and raise the share of renewable energy sources to 45% of total electricity supply during the same period. Expansion in Europe Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, CEO of Masdar, told the Emirates News Agency (WAM): The inauguration of the Čibuk 2 project represents an important milestone in the framework of expanding our projects in Serbia, and confirms our ability to implement quality projects with high efficiency and in record time. For his part, Kai Rintala, CEO of Taaleri Energia, added: With the entry of the Čibuk 1 and Čibuk 2 plants into operation, the Čibuk wind farm complex has become the largest of its kind in Serbia and the Western Balkans region. Masdar's portfolio under development in Serbia exceeds 200 MW, including solar and wind power projects and energy storage systems, within a global portfolio whose production capacity exceeds 65 GW. The company aims to reach 100 GW by 2030, with increasing focus on offshore wind and energy storage projects in European markets. The inauguration of Čibuk 2 comes at a time when Masdar is expanding its investments in European energy markets. On September 11, the company agreed with Germany's Luxcara, an energy infrastructure investor, to explore opportunities for joint investment in energy storage and offshore wind in Germany and other markets, with a value exceeding five billion euros ($5.8 billion), according to Reuters. The two companies signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a strategic partnership between them.

RWE, Masdar explore €3 billion German offshore wind investment as ADNOC advances future LNG supply agreements. 15th September 2026 RWE has signed two agreements with UAE-based energy companies during the state visit of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Germany, covering potential offshore wind investments in Germany and future LNG supplies to European and Asian markets. The agreements include a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between RWE and Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC - Masdar on offshore wind, and a Letter of Intent (LOI) between RWE and ADNOC on potential long-term LNG supplies. The agreements are aimed at strengthening energy cooperation between Germany and the UAE while supporting renewable energy development and energy security in Germany and Europe. RWE and Masdar explore German offshore wind opportunities. Under the MoU, RWE and Masdar intend to explore joint participation in German offshore wind auctions scheduled for 2027. The proposed collaboration has an indicative investment value of more than €3 billion. The agreement builds on the companies' existing offshore wind partnership and could further expand Masdar's investments in Germany's energy sector. RWE and Masdar currently jointly operate and develop offshore wind projects in the UK with a combined capacity of 3.6 GW. Their partnership includes the London Array offshore wind farm, which has been operational since 2013 with a capacity of more than 600 MW. The companies have also partnered on the Dogger Bank South offshore wind projects in the UK, comprising the East and West projects with a combined planned capacity of 3 GW. Earlier this year, RWE and Masdar secured Contracts for Difference for the Dogger Bank South projects under the UK Government's Allocation Round 7. Dr Markus Krebber, CEO of RWE AG, said offshore wind would play an important role in Europe's energy security and decarbonization efforts, adding that partnerships would be important for developing Germany's offshore wind potential. Masdar CEO Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi said the company's experience across offshore wind projects in the UK and Europe would support its efforts to explore new opportunities in Germany with RWE. RWE and ADNOC Advance LNG Supply Discussions. Separately, RWE Supply & Trading and ADNOC signed a Letter of Intent covering potential long-term LNG supply agreements. The companies intend to agree on terms for up to two LNG sale and purchase agreements. The potential contracts would cover LNG deliveries to Germany and other European markets, as well as Asian markets. The proposed supplies would come from ADNOC Gas' and XRG's growing LNG portfolio, including projects in Ruwais, Das, Rio Grande, Mozambique and Argentina. Deliveries are expected to begin in the early 2030s, subject to the conclusion of definitive agreements. The LOI builds on discussions under the Strategic Collaboration Agreement signed between RWE and ADNOC in February. RWE said the potential LNG arrangements would support the diversification of its global LNG portfolio while contributing to security of supply in Germany and Europe. UAE-Germany energy cooperation. His Excellency Dr Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, ADNOC Managing Director and Group CEO, and Chairman of Masdar, said the agreements reflect the UAE and Germany's growing cooperation in energy security, industrial development and clean energy. The UAE has also indicated plans to invest an additional €40 billion in Germany, highlighting the broader investment relationship between the two countries. The latest agreements bring together cooperation across both renewable energy and conventional energy supply, with offshore wind supporting Germany's long-term decarbonization goals and LNG potentially contributing to energy security and supply diversification. Together, the two projects have a total installed capacity of 312MW, providing enough clean electricity to power around 178,800 households. The combined projects represent more than 500 million of foreign direct investment in Serbia's energy infrastructure. The wind farm was inaugurated at a ceremony in Belgrade attended by HE Dubravka edovi Handanovi, Minister of Mining and Energy, Republic of Serbia, HE Ahmed Almenhali, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Serbia, Ms. Elina Ollila, Deputy Ambassador of Finland to the Republic of Serbia, and the leadership of Masdar and Taaleri Energia. The Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company signed a collaboration agreement with Azerbaijan Green Energy Company to explore several new projects, including an expansion of its existing Garadagh Solar PV development by at least 350MW. The plans also include a battery energy storage system of up to 200MWh and a separate 100MW round-the-clock renewable energy project. The agreement was signed during the visit of Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser, in the presence of Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev. Garadagh could become much larger. Masdar's existing Garadagh Solar PV project has a capacity of 230MW and was inaugurated in 2023. SPONSORED LINKS BY PROJECT AGORA The proposed expansion would add a minimum of 350MW, alongside battery storage designed to increase flexibility in how renewable electricity is supplied. Garadagh currently generates around 500 million kilowatt-hours of electricity each year, enough to power more than 110,000 homes. This agreement with AGEC gives us the opportunity to build on that track record by expanding the project, integrating battery storage and exploring round-the-clock renewable power. By combining our development, technical and operational expertise, we aim to deliver reliable, flexible energy solutions that support Azerbaijan's growing power needs. Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, Chief Executive Officer of Masdar 24-hour renewable power also being explored. Masdar and AGEC will also study a 100MW round-the-clock renewable energy project in Nakhchivan. The development would draw on Masdar's experience with a similar project in Abu Dhabi, where the company is working with Emirates Water and Electricity Company on a $6.1 billion renewable power development. That project combines 5.2GW of solar capacity with a 19GWh battery energy storage system and is designed to deliver up to 1GW of baseload renewable power around the clock. It reached financial close in July 2026. 315MW project reaches financial close. Masdar and SOCAR Green also announced financial close for the 315MW Neftchala Solar PV project, which they are developing with Azerbaijan's Ministry of Energy. Financing is being provided by the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the Asian Development Bank. The project is expected to generate more than 686 million kilowatt-hours of renewable electricity annually, enough to power around 140,000 homes, while avoiding approximately 280,000 tonnes of carbon emissions each year. Masdar is also developing the 445MW Bilasuvar solar project and the 240MW Absheron-Garadagh onshore wind project with SOCAR Green. Those developments, together with its other investments, take Masdar's total renewable energy capacity in Azerbaijan to more than 1.2GW.
