About the job
- A B.S. or greater in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- More than 8 years of hands-on experience developing applications in Java/J2EE and any mobile platforms.
- More than 3 years of hands-on experience designing and developing native Android applications in Java.
- Strong experience designing and implementing mobile user interfaces, including prototyping.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design patterns and Java.
- Experience with multithreading, memory management, and caching mechanisms specific to mobile devices.
- Experience analyzing and improving runtime efficiency and memory footprint.
- Experience with Maven, Gradle, Git, Android Studio or Eclipse, JSON/XML, web services, continuous delivery and continuous integration, test-driven development, Jenkins, and mobile network layers such as Volley or Retrofit.
- Only United States citizens, green card holders, or green card EAD holders are eligible.
- Design, develop, and prototype native Android customer applications for phones and tablets for internal and external use.
- Participate in the full application life cycle, including concept, design, build, deployment, testing, and release to the app store.
- Work with product teams on new product ideas, designs, prototypes, and estimates.
- Keep current with features in relevant products and platforms.
- Drive best-practices approaches to continuously improve products, processes, and tools.
- Write and maintain documentation for features in development.
- A public showcase and repository of mobile applications and related work.
