Level 2 Radiographer - NDE/NDT Inspection Technician
About the job
- Recent experience performing radiographic inspections.
- Level II NDT certifications and the ability to pass the Braun Intertec Level II test for radiographic testing.
- Must meet or exceed ASNT-TC-1A Level II requirements for experience and education.
- An IRRSP card for industrial radiography is required.
- 80 hours of radiographic testing classroom training are required.
- 40 hours of radiation safety training are required.
- A valid, insurable driver's license is required, and the candidate must be willing to travel.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds.
- Must be able to work off ladders and scaffolding.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and motor vehicle record check.
- Must have recent experience with NDT methods and procedures.
- Must be willing to travel to out-of-town assignments.
- Perform ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, and visual inspections on assigned field or laboratory projects.
- Work independently as crew lead on job sites.
- Train assistants on proper processes and procedures.
- Prepare reports and other work documents in a timely and accurate manner.
- Understand and use safe work practices.
- Experience performing magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, ultrasonic, and visual inspections is strongly preferred.
- Level II magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, and ultrasonic certifications are preferred.
- A TWIC badge is a plus.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred; post-high-school education in nondestructive testing or a related field is strongly preferred.
- A flexible schedule is expected.
- Mechanical aptitude is expected.
- Attention to detail is expected.
- Ability to follow processes and procedures is expected.
