Responsibilities
  • Partner with supported dentists to gain patients' financial commitment to begin diagnosed dental treatment.
  • Understand and use financial options to support treatment acceptance.
  • Educate patients on treatment choices and help them make decisions suited to their needs and budgets.
  • Address common patient objections to starting treatment.
  • Keep dentists' schedules productive.
  • Achieve proficiency in the PDS system and tools to assist patients with treatment decisions.
  • Execute the Healthcare Coordinator handoff with each clinician for every examination patient.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on available financial options.
  • Obtain necessary insurance pre-authorizations before treatment when required.
  • Ensure the office follows the Comprehensive Care Model and manage referrals outside the office.
  • Participate in daily morning huddles, monthly team meetings, and other required meetings.
  • Understand business imperatives and how the role affects metrics and results.
  • Make decisions consistent with the PDS Brand framework.
  • Become knowledgeable about the Mouth Body Connection and support comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior coursework or on-the-job training in dentistry, insurance, or business is preferred.
