Software Engineering Intern @ First Mode

Co-ops will have an immediate impact on product development and the fulfillment of primary company objectives.

Position Responsibilities

Deliver high quality, working software
Work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
Develop in C/C++ for a variety of embedded system platforms
Collaborate with hardware engineers in development and integration of prototypes
Represent software as a stakeholder within a multi-disciplinary team, from system formulation through design, build and test

Basic Qualifications

We need students who possess 2-3 or more of the following:

Majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another related field
Proficiency with C/C++ and/or assembly language
Familiarity with a scripting language such as Python or Tcl and system shell languages such as Bash
Familiarity with version control tools (Git, Subversion)
Coursework or project experience with Linux, embedded operating systems (FreeRTOS, Zephyr, uC-OS, etc), and/or embedded hardware

Location

This position will be located at First Mode’s headquarters in Seattle, WA and will be required to work in office >60% of working hours

Total Rewards

Base Salary Range: $30.00 - $40.00
