Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance, food safety, food manufacturing, production quality control, or related work.
  • Experience conducting inspections, testing, and quality evaluations within a food production environment.
  • Strong understanding of food safety systems and regulatory standards.
  • Knowledge of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points programs, Good Manufacturing Practices requirements, Food and Drug Administration regulations, United States Department of Agriculture standards, and Food Safety Modernization Act requirements.
  • Experience with quality documentation and reporting systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data-entry systems.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, stretch, and stoop for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry 25–60 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment where noise levels may require hearing protection.
  • Ability to use computers and inspection equipment regularly.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine inspections of incoming raw materials, ingredients, work-in-process materials, and finished products.
  • Collect product samples and perform quality control testing.
  • Evaluate product characteristics, including appearance, texture, taste, and product specifications.
  • Ensure products meet company quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Monitor production operations for compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Verify adherence to Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points programs, Good Manufacturing Practices, Food and Drug Administration regulations, United States Department of Agriculture requirements, and Food Safety Modernization Act guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with temperature controls, hygiene practices, and sanitation procedures.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes to identify quality concerns and improvement opportunities.
  • Investigate non-conformances and quality deviations.
  • Collaborate with production teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen food safety and product quality.
  • Maintain accurate inspection, testing, and production records.
  • Document quality findings and compliance activities.
  • Prepare reports and communicate quality issues to supervisors and management.
  • Support audit readiness through proper documentation and recordkeeping.
  • Participate in internal quality audits and compliance inspections.
  • Assess adherence to company quality systems and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in training production employees on food safety and quality procedures.
  • Verify that testing and inspection equipment is properly calibrated and functioning correctly.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Follow Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations and workplace safety procedures, including proper personal protective equipment usage.

Financial terms were not disclosed. Founded in 2021, Distro uses AI to automate candidate screening through structured video interviews, providing instant insights to hiring teams. The platform operates a network of approximately 1.9 million active candidates across 68 countries. The acquisition strengthens Vensure's technology portfolio with advanced recruiting automation designed to reduce time-to-hire and improve candidate quality. Distro will be integrated into Vensure's ecosystem of HR solutions.
