Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Proven experience in maintenance operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems are required.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs, root cause analysis, and reliability-centered maintenance practices is required.
  • Leadership and team management skills are required to motivate and develop a diverse workforce.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices standards is required.
  • Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and respond to maintenance emergencies outside regular business hours is required.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
  • Plan and prioritize maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance schedules, work orders, and equipment inspections, to minimize production interruptions and downtime.
  • Coordinate with production and other departments to schedule maintenance tasks and minimize their impact on production schedules.
  • Conduct regular inspections of machinery, equipment, and facilities to identify issues, defects, or potential hazards and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform repairs or coordinate repairs with external vendors to restore functionality in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and spare-parts and supplies inventory.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with company policies, Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to develop and implement continuous-improvement initiatives that enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and performance.
  • Monitor and control maintenance expenses within budgetary constraints by optimizing resources and minimizing waste.
  • Provide regular reports to the Maintenance Manager on maintenance activities, equipment performance, and adherence to maintenance schedules and key performance indicators.
Desired Qualifications
  • An associate's degree or technical certification in mechanical, electrical, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certification in maintenance management or a related field, such as Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional, is a plus.
