Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience planning, executing, and evaluating strategic communications campaigns is required.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing complex, innovative projects is required.
  • Experience working with volunteers in a nonprofit environment is required.
  • Experience engaging multicultural media outlets and communicating effectively with diverse audiences is required.
  • Experience leading the design and execution of communications campaigns that increase brand awareness and align with enterprise brand strategy and brand architecture is required.

  • Ability to partner with management to identify opportunities to streamline communication processes and develop new procedures that support departmental and organizational goals.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate in developing communications strategies tailored to target audiences across multichannel platforms and lead execution to inform, educate, and influence internal and external audiences.
  • Develop integrated communications strategies, oversee implementation, and measure results.
  • Develop message frameworks based on message research and tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
  • Develop and refine messaging to ensure organizational consistency across communications.
  • Use internal and external communication platforms to communicate complicated content through storytelling, illustrations, and other consumable formats.
  • Produce or collaborate on communications products for internal and external audiences, including designing, writing, editing, and publishing communications.
  • Develop and execute integrated communications and marketing plans for defined portfolios while providing day-to-day communications and marketing support.
  • Identify opportunities for public and media relations, thought leadership initiatives, social media, and digital tools that support programmatic objectives.
  • Act as day-to-day project manager for internal and external departmental communications efforts.
  • Develop timelines to meet project commitments and ensure deliverables from internal teams and external partners are completed on time.
  • Work with management and partners in other departments to measure and report on program results, conduct research, deliver findings, and use segmentation data.
  • Plan, organize, and implement assigned special projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Determine project scope and execution, track progress toward milestones, establish timelines, and evaluate progress.
  • Establish project communication plans and keep internal and external stakeholders informed about project processes and impact.
  • Collaborate with management to identify opportunities to streamline communication processes and develop new procedures supporting the business unit or department.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree is preferred.
  • Additional relevant training, certifications, or professional development are a plus.
