Responsibilities
Assist the Teacher, Instructor, or Group Leader during afterschool activities and support the program curriculum.
Facilitate activities including homework help, arts and crafts, sports, health and fitness, nutrition, dance, and STEM education.
Ensure participants' health, safety, and well-being by providing close supervision of activities.
Help Group Leaders supervise, participate in, and administer recreational activities for youth and families.
Provide a safe and fun environment for participants in the After-School Program.
Assist with implementing age-appropriate and theme-related activities.
Assist with distributing and collecting parent surveys.
Work cooperatively with peers, professional staff, and other departments.
Maintain equipment, storage facilities, and inventory.
Work with program administration to support best practices and program quality.
Consult the Program Director when difficult or unfamiliar situations arise.
Participate in training sessions, designated meetings, and special events.
Maintain a close relationship with and report to the Program Director and Assistant Director regarding delegated tasks and future assignments.
Complete job-related tasks and use program time effectively during scheduled working hours.

Position Summary
The Youth Worker will be an energetic individual who will assist the Teacher, Instructor or Group Leader during Afterschool Activities and support the program curriculum. The Youth Workers/Counselor responsibilities are but not limited to:

Qualifications:
A high school diploma or GED required
