About the job

Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • At least 7 years of progressive experience in manufacturing quality, process quality, or quality engineering in a high-volume manufacturing environment, including at least 2 years leading or supervising quality engineers, technicians, inspectors, or similar manufacturing quality personnel.
  • Demonstrated experience with statistical process control, process capability, control plans, measurement systems analysis and gauge repeatability and reproducibility, root-cause analysis, corrective action, nonconforming material, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, or managing visual inspection standards and acceptance criteria in a high-volume manufacturing environment, including defect classification, inspection methods, inspector training and qualification, and inspection consistency.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical process control, process capability, measurement systems, inspection methods, defect prevention, structured problem solving, and manufacturing quality systems.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to use manufacturing data to prioritize risk, drive decisions, and sustain corrective actions.
  • Strong knowledge of visual inspection methods, defect standards and classification, inspection sampling, measurement systems, inspection repeatability, and methods for ensuring consistent application of acceptance criteria across inspectors and shifts.
  • Ability to perform the essential duties satisfactorily, including the physical requirements of standing, walking, sitting, reaching, pushing and pulling, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, and lifting or moving up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to follow safety and environmental requirements and wear required personal protective equipment in office and manufacturing environments.
Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day shop-floor quality across manufacturing, including Quality Inspectors and assigned quality personnel; maintain a strong floor presence, establish clear inspection and escalation expectations, and ensure product and process quality requirements are consistently executed across shifts.
  • Develop and continuously improve inline quality controls, inspection strategies, control plans, and reaction plans that prevent defects and identify process variation before nonconforming product is produced or escapes the manufacturing process.
  • Own manufacturing quality performance, including defect containment, nonconforming material, yield and first-pass-yield improvement, statistical process control implementation and monitoring, process capability, metrology, measurement systems analysis and gauge repeatability and reproducibility, and corrective-action effectiveness.
  • Lead structured root-cause and corrective-action activities for manufacturing quality issues using data and appropriate problem-solving methodologies; partner with Operations and Process Engineering to eliminate recurrence and improve process stability and capability.
  • Partner with Quality Engineering on advanced product quality planning and production part approval process, customer complaints, supplier corrective action requests, customer audits, product and process changes, and quality escapes by providing manufacturing quality data, containment, root-cause investigation, corrective actions, and shop-floor implementation as required.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area and perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in automotive, electronics, semiconductor, battery, flexible circuits, or other high-volume advanced manufacturing environments.
  • Working knowledge of International Automotive Task Force 16949, International Organization for Standardization 9001, advanced product quality planning, production part approval process, potential failure mode and effects analysis, and control plans.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, American Society for Quality Certified Quality Engineer, or similar quality certification.
  • Experience with automated or inline inspection systems.

About the company

CelLink makes flex harnesses, flex circuits that replace traditional wiring in vehicles and industrial systems. They pack power, data, and sensing into a single thin circuit, with busing, fusing, and monitoring integrated, and use automated, tool-free manufacturing for quick design changes and high-volume production. Their approach reduces weight by over 70% and volume by over 90% compared with standard wiring and targets direct sales to OEMs and hyperscalers with scalable factories. Their goal is to speed electrification and the digitization of industrial infrastructure by providing compact, reliable power, data, and sensing networks for automotive, aerospace, data centers, and grid storage.

What believers are saying

  • DOE closed CelLink’s $362 million Georgetown loan in April 2024.
  • CelLink said July 2026 funding raised another $100 million at $989 million valuation.
  • March 2026 workforce data shows 175 employees and 34 active postings.

What critics are saying

  • Georgetown production timeline slipped from mid-2023 to 2025 openings, signaling execution strain.
  • A 175-person workforce cannot staff a 1,200-job factory without sustained hiring.
  • Failure to ramp Georgetown before DOE milestones jeopardizes financing and plant viability.

What makes CelLink Technologies unique

  • CelLink’s CCA+ folds bussing, sensing, and fusing into one flex circuit.
  • Its zero-tooling manufacturing enables design changes without new hardware.
  • October 2025 data-center flex circuits target megawatt racks and robotic assembly.
