- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Hold an unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Georgia.
- Hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
- Independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders, established guidelines, and the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
- Manage patient care for an assigned group of patients in accordance with Northside Hospital's philosophy and policies.
- Practice nursing in alignment with collaboration, communication, coordination, integration, and empowerment values.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- An additional life support credential such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program, or another clinical specialty certification for specific units.
- Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
