Principal System Development Engineer - Mechanical Engineering Tool
About the job
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Hands-on expertise in PTC Creo, including 3D modeling and assembly management, and Windchill, including PLM workflows, product data management, and access control.
- Fluency in Mandarin and English, with the ability to create technical documentation and collaborate with global teams and ODM partners.
- Strong understanding of Digital Thread and Digital Twin concepts, with foundational knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking, and enterprise security in engineering environments.
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams, drive standards adoption, advocate user requirements, and communicate with management.
- Serve as the primary subject matter expert for PTC Creo and Windchill, guiding advanced modeling, assembly management, product lifecycle management, workflow configuration, bill of materials management, and engineering tool optimization.
- Partner with internal engineering teams to understand workflow requirements, resolve complex technical issues, support simulation environments, and eliminate productivity barriers.
- Establish, promote, and enforce CAD standards, Creo modeling methodologies, and Windchill data management practices across engineering teams and ODM partners.
- Act as a liaison between regional engineering teams and global stakeholders, communicating business requirements, user feedback, and tool enhancement opportunities to support enterprise transformation initiatives.
- Apply Digital Thread and Digital Twin principles to improve product lifecycle management and data traceability, while collaborating with IT teams on secure and efficient engineering tool deployment.
- Experience with mechanical simulation tools, including finite element analysis, thermal analysis, and structural analysis, as well as cross-disciplinary collaboration between mechanical CAD and electronic CAD environments.
- Familiarity with enterprise product development systems, including Agile PLM and Oracle Product Development, and Linux-based engineering environments.
