Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, or business management.
  • One to three years of supervision experience in planning in a manufacturing environment.
  • At least three years of experience in production planning and materials management.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of supply planning, production planning, and scheduling.
  • Ability to use enterprise resource planning and material requirements planning systems.
  • Ability to pass required physical, drug, driving, and background checks.
  • Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 50 pounds or more.
  • Ability to stoop and bend.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for more than four hours at a time.
  • Alignment with company core values.
Responsibilities
  • Build a process to identify key raw materials with stocking requirements.
  • Establish a process to set and maintain minimum and maximum targets in the enterprise resource planning system.
  • Develop and lead the team to ensure material availability for daily production requirements.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators to manage stocking levels and on-time delivery for projects.
  • Work with production planning and the buying organization to ensure materials are ordered and received in time to meet production requirements.
  • Analyze daily material status and present shortages to the team.
  • Attend daily production meetings.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure order planning and fulfillment.
  • Mitigate material shortages through internal and external escalation.
  • Perform unplanned component demand verification and upload.
  • Manage material requirement changes and dispositions.
  • Ensure the correct material is used and matches the bill of materials; when substitutions occur, ensure substitution and dispositioning activities are completed accurately and promptly for proper inventory accounting.
  • Perform reorder-point sizing activities monthly.
  • Work with buyers and production planners to ensure all materials are available and located before work orders move to production.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Power BI and Tableau.
  • Experience with Syteline enterprise resource planning.
  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management certification.

Nominations open for annual Excellence in Manufacturing Award. September 08, 2026 The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber and MAGNET are seeking nominations for the Chamber's 10th annual Excellence in Manufacturing Award, which recognizes a Valley manufacturer for excellence in longevity, growth and product or workforce innovation and achievement. Eligible manufacturers must be located in Columbiana, Mahoning or Trumbull counties and be a member of the Regional Chamber or Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce. Companies are encouraged to self-nominate. Past recipients of the Excellence in Manufacturing Award are Boardman Molded Products, Haltec Corporation, Quality Switch, Panelmatic Building Solutions, Commercial Metal Forming, Schaefer Equipment, a Division of Wabtec Corporation, Millwood Inc., HYNES Industries and Redex Industries, maker of Udderly Smooth. Nominations are due Wednesday, Sept. 30. Submit your nomination here.
