Requirements

A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or Veterinary Medical Doctor degree from an American Veterinary Medical Association-accredited veterinary school.
Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice veterinary medicine in Maryland.
Two or more years of experience in small animal medicine and surgery is preferred, but not required.
Competency in surgical and dental skills is preferred, but not required.
Ability to work as part of a team and deliver patient care.

Responsibilities

Provide preventive and wellness care.
Diagnose illness and provide medical treatment in a Fear Free environment, using advanced diagnostics such as ultrasound and endoscopy to support acute and chronic disease patients.
Provide dental care and oral surgery, supported by intraoral radiology, experienced staff, and hands-on training.
Perform general soft tissue surgeries, including mass removals, foreign body surgeries, pyometra procedures, and cystotomy.
Collaborate with veterinarians whose special interests include internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, and preventive care.
Advance clinical skills through in-clinic and offsite training opportunities.

Doc-Side Veterinary Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland is hiring a veterinarian interested in a role focused on small animal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and dentistry to join our compassionate team. This is an ideal opportunity for a veterinarian who wants to advance their dental and oral surgery skills with hands-on training and support, and is interested in growth within a well-established, Fear Free™ certified practice. This veterinarian will split their time between seeing clients with a routinely scheduled day of procedural cases.

Located in the heart of historic Fells Point, our 2-doctor small animal and exotics practice has proudly served the Baltimore community since 1999. Our facility features 5 exam rooms, a dedicated second-floor surgery suite, in-house IDEXX lab that's been fully upgraded in Summer 2026, digital radiology, and intraoral dental radiology. We're well-equipped to support a robust caseload of medical, soft tissue surgical, and dental cases.

Deliver gold-standard care for preventive and wellness care

DVM or VMD degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary school
Licensed or license-eligible to practice veterinary medicine in Maryland
2+ years of experience in small animal medicine and surgery preferred
Competency in surgical and dental skills preferred
Passion for teamwork and delivering excellent patient care
