Health Care Assistant Instructor
About the job
- A minimum of 2,800 hours of nursing experience, including experience in at least one of maternity, mental health, or acute care.
- Current full registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives as an LPN, RN, or RDPN is required.
- Experience in a Canadian long-term care facility within the last two years, or relevant experience.
- Ability to travel to local sites within the region.
- Strong communication and mentorship skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles.
- Commitment to fostering a positive educational experience.
- Teach onsite online theory using preset lesson plans and curriculum aligned with PTIRU compliance; extensive in-house curriculum orientation and training is provided.
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
- Stay current with best practices and developments in nursing education.
- Previous instructor experience is an asset.
- Experience with Office 365 and Student Information Systems (SIS) is an asset.
