Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing, with a strong focus on email, SMS, and push marketing.
  • Proven track record in building complex lifecycle programs within marketing automation platforms (experience with Braze is a plus).
  • Expertise in A/B testing methodologies and driving KPI improvement.
  • Strong experience in consumer journey mapping, with the ability to build intricate user segments and trigger logic.
  • Basic HTML knowledge to ensure email templates are responsive and functional across all devices. Most work is done in native template builders.
  • A data-obsessed mindset, collaborating with analytics teams for deeper insights while not being fearful of creating Tableau and Excel reports.
  • A BS degree or equivalent experience; an MS degree is a plus.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and evolution of multi-channel marketing programs using Braze, focusing on email, push, and SMS to drive KPI improvement across our core product lines.
  • Proven ability to mentor other managers and ICs on the team, influence cross-functional initiatives, and contribute to organizational leadership.
  • Take charge of crucial KPIs for our non-active users such as product attach rate, user activation rate, payment rate, and churn, driving outcomes that align with business objectives.
  • Design and implement customer journey maps, creating marketing programs that resonate with key customer moments and behaviors.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to enhance campaign performance through A/B testing, analysis, and collaboration with internal teams to refine strategies.
  • Proactively monitor campaign performance, swiftly identifying and addressing fluctuations to ensure consistent KPI achievement.
  • Work closely with Product, Analytics, and Creative teams to create informed and impactful messaging strategies and customer experiences.
  • Ensure clean, effective segmentation and communication by querying our customer database and partnering with data and marketing ops teams.
  • Clearly communicate campaign effectiveness and insights to key stakeholders, ensuring alignment and informed decision-making.

Self Financial helps individuals build or rebuild their credit scores through online services and a mobile app. Their main products are Credit Builder Loans and the Self Credit Card. A Credit Builder Loan is a small loan that is secured in a certificate of deposit (CD), where monthly payments are reported to credit bureaus to help establish a positive credit history. Once the loan is paid off, the borrower can access the funds in the CD, turning payments into savings. The Self Credit Card requires an upfront deposit and also reports monthly payments to credit bureaus. Unlike traditional credit unions, Self Financial operates entirely online, making it accessible to tech-savvy users and those without access to conventional banking. The goal of Self Financial is to help clients improve their credit scores, enabling them to qualify for loans and other financial products while generating revenue through fees associated with their services.
