Requirements
  • Completion of A&E CAD - Architectural Specialization courses DFTG-2431 and DFTG-2428, or one year of related experience as a sufficient education requirement.
  • Knowledge of architectural documents.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit BIM software.
  • Knowledge of BIM modeling principles, including creating and editing Revit models with appropriate wall types, geolocation, and elevations.
  • Ability to maintain an established work schedule.
  • Time management skills to complete projects.
  • Ability to use interpersonal and communication skills, including tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to use organizational and planning skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of work-related information and materials.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to work independently or in a group within departmental policies and guidelines.
  • Proficiency with standard office software.
  • Proficiency with BIM software.
  • Ability to perform work in a standard office environment, including standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing, and pulling, and occasionally lifting objects up to 20 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Create Revit models for each campus building for use in the GIS project and for architects working on future renovation projects.
  • Use DWG floor plans, elevations, and site plans to create Revit models.
  • Read PDF construction documents to create accurate as-built BIM models.
  • Assist with campus site plan updates in AutoCAD.
  • Assist with AutoCAD drawings for the Facilities Information Systems team.
