Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a mix of the following roles: deal desk, finance, order management, sales operations, or revenue role
  • Experience in a Deal Desk role in a company that sells large platforms preferred
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce from an order management perspective. You don’t need Salesforce admin experience, but you do need to understand how the tool works (ex. How the different objects fit together and how we could optimize our design for better data collection)
  • Ability to think strategically when designing deals to come up with solutions that fit a customer’s unique needs and maximize revenue
  • An eagle eye for process and ability to identify areas where we can improve
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the sales lifecycle
  • Team player who will do what it takes to manage deals across the finish line, especially at month and quarter end
  • Experience working with revenue recognition principles and US GAAP an advantage
Responsibilities
  • Advise the sales team on deal structures that fit their customer’s needs while maximising revenue
  • You’ll get deep in the weeds of our deals in order to create order forms that meet our internal requirements and represent the deal well
  • Create relationships with our sales team so they trust you to be a valuable player in helping us win deals
  • Process orders when they are ready to close in salesforce and be sent to finance for invoicing. This will give you a fantastic understanding of how our systems currently work so we can drive improvements to prepare us to scale
  • Apply your insights to our pricing and packaging so we can continue to evolve
  • Work closely with other members of our GTM Ops team to create an operational powerhouse that helps push the business forward
