Requirements
  • Must have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five years.
  • Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position.
  • Education: a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required; a Master’s degree can substitute for five years of relevant commercial or government experience; fields may include engineering disciplines, health physics, business administration, or environmental management.
  • Experience: at least 15 years of relevant commercial or government experience, including at least 10 years of nuclear safety or environment, safety, and health-related experience; at least 5 years of experience in conducting appraisals; and at least 5 years of experience in managing a project of similar size, scope and complexity; ability to direct project efforts involving diverse technical, management, and administrative functions and to deal directly with senior Government officials.
  • Candidate must demonstrate a broad working knowledge of environment, safety, and health programs (including nuclear safety, worker safety and health, and environmental protection).
  • Candidate must demonstrate experience and knowledge of project management techniques including principles ranging from conceptualization, planning, design, project development, and understanding of cost, scheduling and control measures.
  • Candidate must have detailed knowledge of the Agency Missions, sites, operations, facilities, and organizational roles and responsibilities.
  • Candidate must have good understanding of Agency safety and security enforcement programs and demonstrated capability to apply expertise to support Agency mission objectives and initiatives, including use of technical experts to help Federal and contractor line management identify solutions to complex problems.
  • Candidate must have demonstrated ability to ensure reports and deliverables meet expectations and to interface with senior Agency and contractor managers.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Adobe) is required.
  • All ProSidian staff must be determined eligible for a Facility Access Authorization by the U.S. Government’s designated Security Office.
Responsibilities
  • Observe and report on the performance of Federal and contractor organizations’ implementation of security and safety policies and programs.
  • Apply enforcement actions to contractor organizations for poor performance in adhering to legally enforceable security and safety requirements.
  • Develop and deliver security and safety training programs that reflect best practices and lessons learned from Enterprise Assessment independent assessments to enhance workforce performance.
  • Provide technical expertise to perform the effort for a full scope of oversight program and support activities for the enforcement and training programs in the areas of safeguards and security; cyber security; emergency management; and environment, safety, and health; as well as general and cross-cutting support.

  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, data analytic tools, and Visio; advanced with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.
