Requirements
  • 2 years of general nephrology fellowship completed before the start of the Interventional Nephrology fellowship required
  • MD - Physician - State Licensure Required
  • Wisconsin Medical License required before start date
  • Board eligible or board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine by the start date
  • Education: MD or DO, or equivalent required
Responsibilities
  • Participate in weekly Nephrology Grand Rounds; present one Grand Rounds session and one fellow' core curriculum lecture
  • Present one abstract at a national conference and publish one manuscript
  • Participate in any new quality improvement or peer review activities related to interventional nephrology
  • Provide unsupervised clinical services for the Division of Nephrology as necessary and as assigned by the Division Chief, including general nephrology duties such as ambulatory clinic with a focus on chronic kidney disease care (one half-day per week) and inpatient service on general nephrology services (acutes and End-Stage Renal Disease) including 8 weekend calls
  • The position will often supervise and teach residents and medical students while on service
