The People & Culture Specialist at APOLLO will report to the Chief People Officer. You will be responsible for generalist human resources activities, including onboarding, recruitment, talent management and employee engagement, project management, reporting and analysis. This role will have the opportunity to quickly grow and take on more responsibility as the business grows, and to make an impact on a unique corporate culture and environment for a high-growth, dynamic organization.
This is fully remote position (Canada) but may also require meeting in person for team collaboration and strategic planning sessions.

Responsibilities:
- Manage our world-class onboarding of all new hires
- Recruit for a variety of positions (Sales, Engineering, Operations, Service, etc), scheduling interviews, phone screens, reference checks, follow-ups, and other recruitment tasks as needed
- Provide HR policy guidance and assist in creation of people & culture procedures
- Conduct Team Member check-in’s and develop employee engagement initiatives
- Create P&C reports and conduct analysis
- Manage all org charts for employees and the leadership team
- Respond to P&C related inquiries or requests, provide assistance, and redirect or distribute correspondence to the appropriate person from the Careers and People Mailboxes
- Collaborate on new ideas to develop programs and frameworks for talent management
- Provide back up to Finance team with Payroll and Benefits administration
- Leads licensing tracking and applications for APOLLO Agency team
Skills & Qualifications:
- You have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive HR experience in a HR Specialist/Generalist position
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in HR preferred but not required.
- Experience working in the insurance industry, technology organization or high-growth start-up is an asset
- Experience with G-suite and Lever or similar ATS preferred
