Responsibilities
  • Build Relationships with Local Media: Identify and prioritize media outlets in key geographies (e.g., Chicago, Arizona), building a robust network of contacts to ensure timely and impactful coverage of our initiatives. Proactively pitch stories, conduct outreach, and cultivate relationships with media outlets, focusing on newspapers, broadcasts, and other relevant platforms.
  • Create and Implement Creative PR Strategies: Lead the development and execution of a targeted PR strategy with a strong emphasis on local outreach. Drive PR efforts to support our community marketing strategy, product launches, and other newsworthy moments, securing media attention before and after these events.
  • Expand our Social Media Footprint: Strategically develop and manage a social media calendar that supports our B2B and B2C initiatives, highlights company achievements, drives member awareness, and supports dietitian recruitment efforts. Implement and refine social media strategies that align with our broader communications goals, ensuring consistent and engaging brand messaging.
  • Own our Talent Brand: Work to evolve our talent brand, with a particular focus on dietitians and technologists. Partner closely with our People Team to identify opportunities to highlight Foodsmart as a leading employer, including building an employee ambassador program.
