Requirements
  • Potential associates must pass appropriate security clearances.
  • Five years of experience supervising at least 15 associates is required.
  • Three years of experience in hotel management, including managing budgets, is required.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Thorough knowledge of government regulations applicable to the hotel industry is required.
  • Knowledge of industry safety standards is required.
  • Practical knowledge of LBA rules, policies, and procedures is required.
  • Financial analysis skills are required to assess business opportunities and their contribution to business success.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Food and Beverage.
  • Ensure the hotel operates within ownership budget guidelines and brand quality guidelines.
  • Coordinate with corporate recruiting to maintain proper hotel staffing levels.
  • Manage personnel, budget performance, and financial controls.
  • Resolve guest concerns escalated from Guest Service personnel.
  • Ensure hotel staff greet guests properly, adhere to uniform standards, and resolve guest complaints appropriately.
  • Manage new-hire processes for each department and ensure newly hired associates complete required paperwork and orientation.
  • Review ongoing training practices to keep associates current on policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a professional, cohesive team by hiring, training, coaching, counseling, and developing associates.
  • Monitor communication between departments and ensure timely and accurate information flow.
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term financial objectives and exceed budgeted sales and expense goals.
  • Review cost accounts weekly.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained according to service standards and outages are reported and resolved promptly.
  • Complete scheduling, payroll, inventory, ordering, and production-control duties.
  • Ensure hotel staff follow company rules and policies and oversee implementation of new rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain certification from a brand-approved responsible vendor training program.
  • Inspect guest rooms, public access areas, and outside grounds for cleanliness, safety, and appearance.
  • Maintain business and charitable involvement in the community.
  • Perform other assigned duties the associate is capable of performing.
  • Maintain a friendly, professional image while standing and walking for long periods.
Desired Qualifications
  • A college degree, preferably a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts, or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  • Prior experience working in Hilton or Marriott family hotels is preferred.
  • Effective written and verbal communication, including group presentations, is preferred.
  • Creative and strategic skills are preferred.
  • Leadership skills to develop and counsel subordinate associates are preferred.
