Requirements

  • Designing a consumer experience that empowers responsible use of credit
  • Moving beyond physical cards to a digitally native experience every time a consumer pays

  • Finding ways to allow consumers to manage their account without ever opening the app
  • Enabling consumers to responsibly optimize the number of merchant programs they are a part of and easily leverage their available credit as they want
  • A passion for turning complex problems into simple and engaging experiences
  • Outstanding product ability, visual design, and product thinking for mobile apps
  • 8+ years of experience designing wonderful consumer experiences (experience designing for multiple platforms is a huge plus)
  • Experience running research, both qualitative and quantitative
  • A hunger to use data and insights to make solid product decisions
  • Track record of impacting company-level objectives
  • Comfort with an iterative design process that includes accepting and acting on feedback
  • Competence in relevant design and prototyping tools
  • Emphatic commitment to personal growth and development
  • A drive to tackle internal and external ambiguous problems
  • Previous experience leading and growing teams would be an advantage
Responsibilities
  • Champion a culture of user-centered design and craft
  • Lead the user experience of products end-to-end, including contributing to product strategy, running design sprints, crafting visions, and establishing frameworks
  • Ideate and design complete user flows that fit into a larger design system
  • Simplify complexity by breaking down tough problems and developing actionable solutions
  • Contribute positive behavior design, ideas, and solutions to help customers develop healthy financial habits
  • Mentor and lead the other members of the product design team
  • Explore complex, ambiguous problem spaces and work with Engineering, Product, and Growth to come up with innovative solutions
  • Constantly evaluate if we are serving the cardholder and Imprint
  • Actively contribute to constructive design reviews and deliver a quality product
  • Reports directly to the VP of design
