Responsibilities
  • Support their performance and career growth through regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, coaching, and mentoring
  • Work closely with product management and senior engineers to define a 1 to 3 year roadmap & vision for the team
  • Balance the team between feature development and engineering initiatives
  • Consistently work with your direct reports to support their career growth
  • Assist in evaluating technical design & architecture documents and proposals on an ongoing basis
  • Work with geographically distributed peers including engineering managers, technical leaders, product managers, designers, support engineers and other stakeholders
  • Own large projects end-to-end including requirements gathering, planning, resource allocation, and sometimes execution
  • Drive effective engineering processes and policies
  • Scale the team by recruiting candidates from diverse backgrounds
  • Get hands on when necessary and assist with writing code, providing feedback on technical implementations & conducting architectural reviews
