UHY Hacker Young strengthens Nottingham team. Nottingham-based accountancy firm UHY Hacker Young has appointed two senior figures to strengthen its audit and accounting and business services teams. Jayne Fotheringham joins as audit partner, while Colin Radmore has been appointed accounting and business services manager, with the former colleagues bringing experience across business advisory and client relationship management. Jayne joins following a 16-year career with Cooper Parry, where she advised businesses across a range of sectors and led client teams. She has also previously worked alongside UHY Nottingham managing partner Andrew Timms. Jayne said: "I'm delighted to have joined UHY Nottingham. "UHY has a strong reputation in the market, and from my first conversations with the team I loved how down to earth and approachable everyone was. "As someone who has lived and worked in the East Midlands throughout my career, joining UHY Nottingham feels like a great fit. "Having spent many years working with owner-managed and private equity-backed businesses, I'm looking forward to continuing to support clients through the opportunities and challenges they face. "The opportunity to work alongside such an experienced and well-respected team was incredibly appealing, and I'm excited to play a part in the continued success of the Nottingham office while building lasting relationships with clients and contacts." Colin has taken an unconventional route into accountancy following a career in elite canoeing, during which he represented Great Britain before coaching Olympic and Paralympic teams. At UHY, Colin will advise clients across a range of sectors through its accounting and business services offering. Colin added: "I'm really enjoying the variety that this role offers. "Working with clients across different industries gives me the opportunity to build strong relationships and take a more personal approach to my work. "My background in coaching has also given me valuable experience in supporting and developing people, which I hope to bring to my role as a manager. "Looking ahead, I want to continue growing my portfolio across a range of sectors and broaden the support I can provide to clients, while playing my part in helping the accounting and business services team achieve its growth ambitions." Jayne and Colin's appointments follow UHY's Nottingham, London and Brighton offices combining with Affinia earlier this year, creating a £160 million group with 1600 colleagues across 33 UK offices. Andrew Timms, managing partner at UHY Nottingham, added: "Jayne and Colin bring a wealth of experience and different perspectives to the team, which will add real value to the firm. "The Nottingham office has grown significantly in recent years, and we have ambitious plans for the future as part of the wider Affinia group. "Bringing talented and experienced people like Jayne and Colin into the business will play an important role in helping us continue that growth while maintaining the close, consultative relationships we are known for. "Colin's background in elite sport and coaching has equipped him with valuable skills in helping people perform and succeed, while Jayne brings significant audit experience and insight that will support the continued development of our team and offering." New partner and former GB canoeist among appointments at UHY Hacker Young. 25 Sep 2026, 06:00 Nottingham accountancy firm UHY Hacker Young has strengthened its Audit and Accounting and Business Services teams with the appointment of two former colleagues, including a new partner and a former GB canoeist. Having previously worked together in an audit service line, Colin Radmore has now joined UHY as accounting and business services manager, while Jayne Fotheringham takes up the role of audit partner. Both bring a wealth of experience across business advisory and client relationship management. Fotheringham joins UHY after a 16-year career at Cooper Parry, where she developed extensive experience advising businesses across a range of sectors. She previously worked with UHY Nottingham's managing partner Andrew Timms at her prior firm. Fotheringham said: "UHY has a strong reputation in the market, and from my first conversations with the team, I loved how down to earth and approachable everyone was. "As someone who has lived and worked in the East Midlands throughout my career, joining UHY Nottingham feels like a great fit. Having spent many years working with owner-managed and private equity-backed businesses, I'm looking forward to continuing to support clients through the opportunities and challenges they face. "The opportunity to work alongside such an experienced and well-respected team was incredibly appealing, and I'm excited to play a part in the continued success of the Nottingham office while building lasting relationships with clients and contacts." Radmore first pursued a career in elite canoeing, representing Great Britain for many years and winning a brace of World and European Championship medals, before retiring from competitive sport and moving into coaching. He worked with the Ugandan and Irish Olympic canoeing teams before becoming senior coach of the British Paralympic canoeing team, which took him to the Rio and Tokyo Paralympic Games. After becoming a parent, Radmore decided to pursue a career that would allow him to spend more time at home. Having enjoyed analysing data to optimise sporting performance, he saw accountancy as a natural next step and completed an evening course before joining his previous firm. At UHY, he now advises a broad portfolio of clients across a range of sectors, supporting businesses through the firm's Accounting and Business Services offering. He said: "I'm really enjoying the variety that this role offers. Working with clients across different industries gives me the opportunity to build strong relationships and take a more personal approach to my work. My background in coaching has also given me valuable experience in supporting and developing people, which I hope to bring to my role as a manager. "Looking ahead, I want to continue growing my portfolio across a range of sectors and broaden the support I can provide to clients, while playing my part in helping the accounting and business services team achieve its growth ambitions." Earlier this year,UHY's Nottingham, London and Brighton offices combined with Affinia, a fully integrated accounting and advisory firm. Together, the combined Affinia group is a £160m business with a combined team of 1,600 colleagues operating across 33 offices nationally. "The Nottingham office has grown significantly in recent years, and we have ambitious plans for the future as part of the wider Affinia group. Bringing talented and experienced people like Jayne and Colin into the business will play an important role in helping us continue that growth while maintaining the close, consultative relationships we are known for.
