Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in automation engineering, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMI/SCADA systems.
  • Strong electro/mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills within a light/medium manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with robotics, motion control, and vision systems is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial control systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Responsibilities
  • Design, program, and commission automation systems, including PLCs, robotics, HMIs, SCADA, and other control systems.
  • Develop detailed engineering documentation, including electrical schematics, software logic, and control system architectures.
  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure automation solutions meet production requirements.
  • Integrate automation systems with existing manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Test and troubleshoot automation systems to ensure proper functionality and performance.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes to identify areas for automation and improvement.
  • Implement automation solutions that reduce cycle times, increase throughput, and improve product consistency.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on automation-related issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Support future intelligent automation driven by AI and IoT connected equipment.
  • Electro/mechanical troubleshooting and repair on automated production lines.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for automation systems.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for automated equipment.
  • Train maintenance personnel in troubleshooting and maintaining automation systems.
  • Ensure automation systems comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain risk assessments and safety protocols for automated processes.
  • Participate in safety audits and implement necessary corrective actions.
