  • Live within a one-hour commuting distance to the job site unless actively relocating to the area.
  • Have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Hold a valid driver's license and pass a motor vehicle record check.
  • Pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Read, write, and understand English.
  • Successfully complete a climb preview before hire.
  • Climb a 300-plus-foot wind tower multiple times per day and work comfortably at height.
  • Walk across the hub and rappel off in an emergency.
  • Work comfortably in confined spaces.
  • Frequently climb, walk, stand, and bend.
  • Repeatedly handle loads of up to 50 pounds.
  • Remain within the 300-pound combined weight limit for the employee, required personal protective equipment, and gear.
  • Work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance on wind turbine generator equipment.
  • Perform basic mechanical installations, maintenance, operations, and upgrades following established procedures.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of tools and use them safely.
  • Dismantle and assemble basic machinery, components, and equipment.
  • Accurately document all work performed.
  • Follow all Health, Safety & Environmental procedures.
  • Support customer needs and assigned duties.
  • Travel up to 25% as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • An associate degree in a technical mechanical field, wind energy discipline, or equivalent technical experience.
  • A mechanical or electrical background.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic diagrams and wiring schematics.
