FIGS is seeking a Retail (Community Hub) Operations Director to lead all aspects of operations for FIGS retail experiences, which we refer to as Community Hubs.
What You’ll Do:
- Support the development, execution, and optimization of FIGS’ retail strategy by overseeing every aspect of FIGS Community Hub operations—from hiring and training to visual merchandising and sales strategy to inventory management.
- Hire, train, and lead passionate and high potential Community Hub team members.
- Set clear operating plans and targets and provide our Community Hub team with the processes and systems to achieve and exceed these plans.
- Develop and manage the Community Hub P&L and budgets for in-store events.
- Identify and empower Community Hub teams to act on revenue driving, process improvement, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Oversee the facilities and maintenance of all Community Hubs, partner with our Hub teams to ensure repairs, improvements, and installations take place accurately and in a timely manner.
- Support ad hoc on site needs and follow a regular schedule of Community Hub visits by completing operational checks, audits and report findings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Merchandising, Inventory Planning, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Experience to ensure that the Community Hub experience is aligned with FIGS’ standards.
- Serve as the critical nexus between FIGS’ HQ and Community Hub Teams.
- Observe and analyze impact of store elements–layout, merchandising assortment, embroidery offering, customer experience–and provide feedback to continuously improve operations and inform future strategy.
Qualifications:
- 10-12 years of retail sales and operations experience, preferably for a fast-growing apparel brand with omnichannel operations and mobile shopping experiences.
- Proven experience coaching and leading store teams and developing the processes and systems that enable them to be successful.
- Outstanding sales management, inventory management, and analytical capabilities.
- Experience building and optimizing store operating budgets.
- Ability to maintain attention to detail and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
- B.A. in economics, business, operations, or related field required. M.B.A preferred.
- Excellent retail math, Excel, and GSuite skills needed; Shopify POS experience a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluency in English required; conversational skills in other languages a plus.
- Flexible schedule, with the ability to travel regularly and to support Community Hubs during weekends and holidays.
Special note:
All Community Hub employees are expected to be available to work “Black Friday” weekend (the Friday - Sunday after Thanksgiving) and from the second week of December (the start of the second week in period 11) until the end of the holiday season, to be defined each year based in part on the time period guests are permitted to return holiday merchandise, on an annual basis.
FIGS Compensation and Benefits
Pay Range
- At FIGS, your base salary is one part of your total compensation package. This role’s base salary range is between $140,000 and $170,000. Actual base salary is determined based on a number of factors, including but not limited to your relevant skills, qualifications, and years of experience.
