Requirements
- Three to five years of experience in a product design or UX/UI role.
- An AI-first mindset and comfort integrating AI tools into the workflow.

- Proficiency in user experience design disciplines, including user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
- Strong proficiency with current design tools and software, including Figma.

- A user-centric approach throughout the design process.
- Knowledge of current design trends and best practices.
- Ability to collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and Sales.
- Ability to guide product decisions through user testing and iterative feedback loops.
- Ability to rapidly iterate on design prototypes and working applications.
- Ability to produce materials for clients and developers, including user flows, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and assets.
- A portfolio demonstrating previous work samples.
Responsibilities
- Understand and apply design thinking principles and user experience design strategies, using client and user feedback to enhance design outputs and applying a user-centric approach based on empirical data and design ethics.
- Produce materials for clients and developers, including user flows, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and assets.
- Facilitate complex and prolonged design discovery sessions as a subject matter expert, providing recommendations to clients.
- Anchor projects in the role’s area of expertise, lead client meetings on design-specific matters, and implement project-level solutions with minimal guidance.
- Apply attention to detail and industry-specific best practices to ensure high-quality outputs, respond constructively to feedback, and implement changes based on work requirements.
- Ensure design submissions meet consistently high standards by involving QA and Engineering in evaluation and setting improvement standards to reduce errors.
- Mentor team members, provide coaching, and support their professional growth as a technical guide within the team.
- Lead across teams and disciplines, including initiating and leading committees to analyze and improve processes.
- Manage communication cadences with project stakeholders, present project statuses, and tailor communications to different audiences.
- Provide and solicit constructive feedback to improve team performance and work quality.
- Identify and implement process changes, drive improvement initiatives, and adapt to changing circumstances to meet project goals.
- Engage in the professional community through speaking and writing to demonstrate thought leadership.
- Understand the product’s long-term vision and challenge project scopes to align with quality standards and strategic goals.
- Define and lead digital transformations at a strategic level.
- Work with clients to determine their desired direction and how to achieve it.
- Work closely with Product Managers embedded in each team or project.
- Work with clients immersed alongside the teams, using agile XP with lean methodologies.
- Collaborate in person with Product Managers, QA, Engineering, and Sales in the Toronto office.
- Help guide product decisions through user testing and iterative feedback loops.
- Rapidly iterate on design prototypes and working applications.
