About the Job

Responsibilities

  • Own global Aviagen Pedigree and GGP production, with direct line authority over operating leaders and production functions, and accountability for production efficiency, execution quality, and operating cost worldwide.
  • Establish, approve, and maintain enterprise production standards, operating procedures, and performance expectations; ensure consistency, safety, quality, and efficiency; work with group research and development to define methods, controls, and metrics, and update standards as needs, technology, or regulations evolve.
  • Direct daily production operations by setting priorities, allocating resources, approving operating plans, and resolving execution issues; hold operations accountable to schedules and cost targets and ensure leadership teams execute with discipline and urgency.
  • Hold leaders and teams accountable for production, cost, quality, and delivery targets by setting performance objectives, reviewing results, addressing underperformance, and taking corrective action through coaching, restructuring, or personnel decisions.
  • Intervene when production performance, discipline, or results deviate from expectations by directing corrective actions, reallocating resources, changing operating approaches, or making leadership changes.
  • Serve as the CEO’s primary operating partner for global production, integrating production performance and mitigating operational risk into an enterprise view.
  • Provide enterprise-level coordination, governance, and technical leadership by defining standards, facilitating cross-regional alignment, challenging assumptions, and ensuring transparent performance reporting, without assuming line authority for production execution in this area.
  • Establish and maintain senior-level working relationships with Regional Presidents and their leadership teams to balance business-unit, regional, and enterprise priorities and ensure consistent application of production standards and capital plans.
  • Establish and maintain global production standards and performance benchmarks to clarify expectations, compare results, and provide transparent performance reporting across regions and operating units.
  • Escalate deviations from agreed production standards with data-based analysis, clearly articulated risks, and actionable corrective recommendations.
  • Coordinate with regional leadership to embed agreed production standards into local operating practices, management routines, and performance review processes while respecting regional accountability.
  • Drive continuous improvement across the global production footprint by identifying systemic bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and cost drivers; sponsoring cross-regional improvement efforts; and ensuring lessons learned are captured, shared, and adopted group-wide.
  • Align strategic objectives, capital deployment, and operational execution, linking production capabilities, capacity plans, and improvement initiatives to enterprise priorities and approved investment strategies.
  • Ensure proposed major investments in global production operations are evaluated, challenged, and prioritized before CEO review and approval; establish and enforce capital approval standards; review business cases, financial returns, and operational assumptions; validate capacity, timing, and readiness; facilitate cross-regional trade-offs; and align capital deployment with strategic priorities, production requirements, and risk tolerance.
  • Monitor approved capital investments against financial, operational, and timeline expectations.
  • Hold leaders accountable for early identification and escalation of cost, schedule, or performance deviations, and drive timely intervention with the CEO and regional leadership.
  • Conduct post-investment reviews and incorporate lessons learned into future capital planning and execution discipline.
