Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in business, accounting, or a related field.
  • You are enrolled in or planning to pursue an Internal Audit professional designation - CIA.
  • You have strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • You can prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work both independently and in a team.
  • You understand the importance of confidentiality and professional ethics.
Responsibilities
  • Report to the Audit Manager.
  • Assist with audit activities under the supervision of the Manager in accordance with the annual audit plan.
  • Gain hands-on experience conducting audit testing, evaluating internal controls, and documenting findings.
  • Develop a solid understanding of business processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare detailed working papers in line with the Internal Audit methodology.
  • Identify and document process and control weaknesses and propose practical recommendations.
  • Draft concise, informative summaries and support the communication of audit findings.
  • Participate in closing meetings with business areas to present audit observations and gain support for recommendations.
  • Support internal team initiatives, including documentation updates and internal process improvements.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous work experience or internships in internal audit, accounting, or complex business environments are an asset.
