Role overview: 

The Nursa Product and Engineering team is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Billing & Payments team. As an Engineering Manager, you will support lines of communication between Product and Engineering teams as we continue to scale, contribute to the development of our vision, and support the growing needs of the business while collaborating to the design and development of new features and services to Nursa’s end users. 

The Billing & Payments team at Nursa is responsible for developing and maintaining systems and processes related to financial transactions, ensuring accurate billing and secure payment processing. You will help us create efficient billing systems, integrate payment gateways, and continuously improve financial processes to enhance user experience and financial integrity. There is a strong preference for this position to be a hybrid role based in our Murray, Utah headquarters.

Responsibilities:

• Cultivate a culture of high-performance and technical quality from design to production. 

• Build culture across your team that maintains quality as we scale our teams while offering meaningful growth opportunities. 

• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including finance and product, to ensure a high-quality user experience.

• Define and maintain processes to ensure product quality.

• Set goals for team members; evaluate performance; provide coaching and facilitate professional development.

• Providing technical leadership by promoting best practices, testing, performance, and reliability.

Qualifications: 

• 4+ years of engineering leadership experience, with 7+ years of software development experience in a fast paced tech environment. 

• Experience providing feedback, coaching, mentoring and enabling career growth of team members.

• Experience with Node.JS, JavaScript, TypeScript and PostgreSQL.

• Demonstrated track record of successfully building collaborative teams that work to understand the needs of their users.

• Proven track record of successfully building collaborative teams that prioritize user needs.

• Proficiency in articulating technical concepts and actively participating in planning and design discussions, fostering collaboration across all organizational departments.

• A strong belief in and ability to build teams and practices that can scale effectively.

• Experience in implementing end-to-end quality best practices.

• Strong skills working with product & engineering teams during times of scalable growth.

Bonus Points:

• Experience in the Payments/Billing product domain or familiarity with NetSuite.

• Experience in Healthcare or a two sided marketplace.

• Experience managing a global team.
