Requirements
  • A college or university degree in a related field.
  • Knowledge and skills developed through 2–5 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
  • A minimum of two years of professional work experience in a fundraising environment, alumni relations, nonprofit management, or similar professional work experience.
  • Background or coursework in business, finance, economics, analytics, data science, or nonprofit management.
  • Demonstrated skill and knowledge of, or ability to learn quickly, the University's internal workings and the technology tools available to Advancement, including Phoenix, the University's Donor Relationship Management Salesforce System.
  • Proficiency in a Microsoft Windows computer environment, especially Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Tableau.
  • Background with development systems, database management, or data cleanup.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and tact.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate entry and maintenance of organization prospect and contact data and organization records in Phoenix, and review and request updates and corrections to organization giving data in Phoenix.
  • Develop reports, actionable analysis, and recommendations that improve fundraising results for Foundation and Corporate Relations and organization fundraising progress in support of the University's fundraising campaign, using Phoenix Salesforce reporting, WebI Enterprise Data Hub reporting, and additional reporting tools.
  • Facilitate coordination of grants data between University Research Administration and Gift Administration, and reconcile grants data from AURA and Orbit with Phoenix data.
  • Use AURA grants data, University financial-system data, and Phoenix data for forecasting, reporting, and analysis, including analysis projects aimed at increasing awarded grants.
  • Work with the Assistant Director, Foundation and Corporate Relations (Research), on large-scale projects combining prospect research and data analysis by identifying relevant data points, pulling necessary data, and recommending strategies for coding in Phoenix.
  • Manage Foundation and Corporate Relations' portion of the financial report review process with post-award research administrators in University Research Administration.
  • Respond to University requests for funder proposal materials and data and assist with special foundation reporting requirements.
  • Work with Foundation and Corporate Relations gift officers to facilitate annual goal setting and execute goals throughout the year, and provide ongoing Phoenix support.
  • Share information within Advancement to demonstrate Foundation and Corporate Relations' impact and the organizations' component of University fundraising.
  • Conduct prospect research, prospect management, strategic planning, and market research on prospects and donors.
  • Develop, maintain, and update information on new and existing prospects, solving problems as they arise.
  • Perform other related work as needed.
