Requirements
  • Three to five or more years of industrial engineering experience with expert knowledge of plant production and operations.
  • A bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or a related engineering field and relevant experience.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, BIM 360 or similar tools, plant simulation software such as Siemens Plant Simulation or AnyLogic, and Microsoft 360 business software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strategic thinking and vision to optimize manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to communicate with the global industrial engineering team to align initiatives and share best practices.
  • Project management abilities to deliver complex initiatives on time and within budget.
  • Ability to collaborate and build relationships across global cross-functional partners.
  • Broad knowledge of battery production.
  • Expertise in lean manufacturing to implement continuous improvement.
  • Analytics and modeling capabilities to simulate production systems.

Responsibilities
  • Manage key performance indicators through benchmarking and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate potential plant layout changes and manage revisions to plant layout computer-aided design files.
  • Analyze conveyor capacity and location, automated guided vehicle capacities and quantities, and material flow from dock doors through warehouses to process areas.
  • Ensure adequate Kanban sizing in process areas and confirm buffer sizes between areas and process equipment while maintaining safe movement for people and materials.
  • Work with Supply Chain to develop production plans and optimize line and shift patterns to meet demand and minimize labor costs.
  • Maintain capacity and headcount models for each plant and support Operations in developing the annual labor budget.
  • Continuously evaluate line balance and recommend improvements.
  • Monitor cycle time with Maintenance Engineering to identify bottlenecks.
  • Maintain plant simulation models for each plant and product type and modify models as program assumptions change.
  • Lead and execute strategic initiatives within specified timeframes.
  • Develop standardized planning and implementation tools.
  • Support the ramp-up of new battery manufacturing facilities.
  • Travel occasionally domestically and internationally.

AESC makes lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles and energy storage, developing, manufacturing, and selling power batteries to major automakers and storage providers with a global, local-for-local manufacturing network. DENSO and TÜV Rheinland Japan have validated a battery passport for AESC Group's energy storage products using actual data, confirming its compliance with the EU Battery Regulation ahead of the February 2027 mandate.
