Requirements
  • A combination of Education and Experience will be considered.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986.
  • Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Education Details: Minimum four (4) year degree or equivalent experience.
  • Years of Experience: Minimum ten (10) years experience with Heavy Transport Aircraft, five years in multiple disciplines related to the areas of Technical Services responsibilities.
Responsibilities
  • Reports directly to the Managing Director of Engineering and Reliability.
  • In coordination with department manual owners, is responsible for the accuracy, compliance with federal regulations and publication of Allegiant Air’s company and manufacturer’s manuals.
  • Responsible for coordination of engineering documents for the in-service fleet to direct the modification and repairs of the aircraft or aircraft systems.
  • Assist in creating and managing the engineering department budget.
  • Identify and coordinate engineering efforts with outside vendors for engineering projects, as necessary.
  • Responsible to ensure engineering support is provided to Allegiant’s Maintenance Department regarding the operation and repair of Allegiant Air’s fleet of aircraft.
  • Coordinates with and provides support to the Director of Aircraft Induction and Heavy Maintenance in the preparation of work scope, financial analysis and implementation of requirements for the induction of new or used aircraft to Allegiant Air, and the repair and heavy maintenance of Allegiant’s aircraft.
  • Ensures communication to all Maintenance Departments of the identification of chronic aircraft problems and the recommended courses of action and the status of repair or troubleshooting plans.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of an Allegiant technical fleeting standards manual.
  • Effective Communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Other duties as assigned.
