Requirements
  • Must possess, at minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or be a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
  • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an LPN/LVN in this state.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines applicable to nursing care facilities.
  • Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and be willing to supervise other personnel.
  • Must maintain required continuing education and licensing and remain in good standing with the State Board of Nursing.
  • Must hold current CPR certification.
  • Must be able to push, pull, move, lift, and carry at least 25 pounds as specified in the physical-demands section.
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants.
  • Direct nursing assistants' daily functions and ensure nursing personnel comply with facility policies, procedures, and job descriptions.
  • Coordinate nursing services with resident services and participate in quality assurance activities, facility surveys, and discharge planning.
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge residents; complete accident and incident reports; maintain census, charge, medical, and other required administrative records.
  • Complete resident admission, transfer, discharge, treatment, and care documentation; record and transcribe physicians' orders; and document nursing care and resident responses.
  • Prepare and administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, maintain medication and narcotic records, and report discrepancies.
  • Participate in employee performance evaluations, staffing planning, work assignments, and recommendations to the Nurse Supervisor regarding personnel actions.
  • Make rounds to monitor assigned nursing personnel and resident care, address problem areas, and lead nursing personnel assigned to the unit or shift.
  • Coordinate admissions, physician rounds, diagnostic and therapeutic services, treatments, rehabilitation, and resident and family communications.
  • Perform clinical nursing procedures including catheterization, tube feedings, suction, dressing changes, colostomy and drainage-bag care, specimen collection, blood-pressure measurement, and range-of-motion exercises as required.
  • Participate in staff orientation, in-service training, continuing education, and clinical supervision planning for nurse aide trainees.
  • Monitor compliance with safety, sanitation, hand hygiene, personal protective equipment, infection-control, and hazardous-condition reporting procedures.
  • Maintain equipment and supply availability, support safe equipment operation, and monitor efficient use of nursing supplies.
  • Review resident care plans, ensure care-plan adherence, and assist with planning, scheduling, and revising MDS, RAPs, and triggers.
  • Provide data to the Quality Assurance and Assessment Committee as requested.

PACS Group has appointed Carey P. Hendrickson as chief financial officer, effective 27 April 2026. Hendrickson brings nearly four decades of financial leadership across healthcare, senior living and media sectors. PACS Group has announced that co-founder and chief financial officer Mark Hancock will retire on 30 June 2026. He will continue serving on the company's board of directors as vice chairman. Hancock co-founded PACS in 2013 with Jason Murray, starting with two post-acute care facilities in San Diego. Dr Conway currently serves as CEO of Optum, UnitedHealth Group's health services division with revenues exceeding $200 billion.
