Maintenance Technician
About the job
- Strong experience in industrial maintenance, including electrical and mechanical systems.
- Hands-on knowledge of programmable logic controller systems, troubleshooting, and programming logic.
- Experience with AC/DC drives, control systems, sensors, and industrial wiring.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and machine repair.
- Ability to independently diagnose and solve problems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience reading electrical schematics, technical drawings, and machine documentation.
- Basic machining, fabrication, and tooling knowledge.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and Windows-based tools.
- Strong math skills, including geometry, trigonometry, and metric conversions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
- Troubleshoot programmable logic controllers, control circuits, sensors, and industrial automation systems.
- Install, modify, and maintain electrical equipment, programmable logic controllers, instrumentation, and AC/DC variable speed drives.
- Repair and rebuild gearboxes, motors, cylinders, and mechanical systems.
- Work with hydraulics, pneumatics, relay logic, and electrical schematics.
- Support the design, installation, and improvement of manufacturing equipment and systems.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Production to identify and resolve operational issues.
- Research parts, components, pricing, and lead times for maintenance projects and upgrades.
- Read and interpret complex technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- AutoCAD or technical drafting experience.
