- Min. 4+ years' experience within a Estimator Role in a construction industry, particularly in the Industrial sector
- Education in a civil engineering / building science program or a related educational field
- Ability to read specs and drawings

- General Building Envelope knowledge
- Knowledge of Insulated Panel/Cladding systems is considered an asset
- Proficiency in MS office package, including MS Project.

- Attend pre-bid & post-bid meetings
- Act as tender lead on single-scope and/or multi-scope projects
- Maintain directory of product suppliers
- Prepare construction progress schedules
- Participate in initial handoff meetings and production meetings
- Negotiating contract price/award price with clients
- Attend meeting with project team to perform an Autopsy on the completed project
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers
- Order various estimating documents (bid bonds, insurance documents, etc.)
- Consult, communicate, and build rapport with internal departments
- Negotiate extras for all applicable revisions and prepare necessary documentation
- Coordinate the investigation and resolution of disputes, defects and back charges
- Follow-up with on-site problems with operations team
- Visit job sites
- Price all change orders for any active projects
- Organize and manage a centralized cost estimating database (PIL)
- Quality and delivery of direct reports
