Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent degree.
  • One to three years of experience with program facilitation for young people, operational procedures, and program compliance with grant requirements.
  • One to three years of youth development experience in out-of-school or classroom settings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and occasional overnights.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, communicate orally and in writing, present to girls and their families, and work in a culturally competent, process-oriented manner.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee and lead troop sessions with girls in grades K-12 during virtual, day, and after-school programming.
  • Provide a safe and fun environment for programming.
  • Deliver programming related to STEAM, financial literacy, and life skills in an engaging, consistent, and structured manner.
  • Use a trauma-informed lens and social-emotional learning tools to assess girls' behavior and the program environment to support girls' emotional needs.
  • Work collaboratively with program volunteers while maintaining primary responsibility for program effectiveness.
  • Attend community events, trainings, and meetings.
  • Maintain records for each site, including attendance and troop and girl information via the Dashboard, while following Girl Scouts procedures.
  • Cultivate community collaborations and build relationships with school and park personnel in conjunction with the manager.
  • Adhere to organizational policies and procedures and model expected behaviors.
  • Support team efforts to achieve organizational membership goals.
  • Write short pieces describing the program's effect on participants.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in education, psychology, youth development, or program delivery.
  • Bilingual Spanish language ability.
